Rim the glass with lime juice and dip it into salt or sugar.
Fill the glass with ice and set aside.
Add tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, honey syrup, and ginger syrup to a shaker.
Shake for about 10 seconds until everything is well chilled.
Strain into your prepared glass.
Top with club soda or sparkling water.
