  • Citrus juicer
  • Small saucepan

Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila blanco or mezcal for smoky flavor
  • 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.75 oz lavender syrup homemade or store-bought
  • 2 oz club soda or grapefruit soda
  • ice cubes for shaking and serving
  • grapefruit slice for garnish
  • lavender sprig for garnish
  • Maldon sea salt for rimming glass, optional

Instructions

  • Rim the highball glass with Maldon sea salt, if desired.
  • Fill the glass with ice and set aside.
  • Combine tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and lavender syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Shake for 10–15 seconds until chilled.
  • Strain into the prepared glass.
  • Top with club soda or grapefruit soda and stir gently.
  • Garnish with a grapefruit slice and lavender sprig.

Notes

Homemade lavender syrup and fresh grapefruit juice make this drink shine. For a lighter version, add extra club soda. Salt rim adds a pop of flavor. Store leftover syrup in the fridge for up to two weeks.
