A refreshing Paloma twist with crisp grapefruit, tequila, lime, and fresh mint leaves. Bright, citrusy, and herbal, perfect for warm weather or anytime you want something extra lively.
Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a highball glass, then dip it into kosher salt.
Add mint leaves and simple syrup to the shaker. Gently muddle to release mint oils.
Pour in tequila, fresh grapefruit juice, and lime juice.
Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake for about 10 seconds.
Strain into the prepared glass filled with ice.
Top with grapefruit soda or sparkling water.
Stir gently with a bar spoon.
Garnish with a grapefruit wedge, lime wedge, and sprig of mint.
Notes
For smoky flavor, use mezcal instead of tequila. If using sweet grapefruit soda, skip the syrup. Sparkling water makes a lighter drink. Serve cold and fizzy, with plenty of fresh mint.
