Equipment

  • Highball glass
  • Jigger
  • Bar spoon
  • Citrus juicer
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Ice cube tray
  • Small plate

Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila (blanco)
  • 1 oz elderflower liqueur
  • 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 4 oz grapefruit soda chilled
  • ice cubes
  • grapefruit wedge or slice for garnish
  • salt for rim, optional

Instructions

  • If desired, rim the glass with lime and salt. Fill glass with ice.
  • Add tequila, elderflower liqueur, grapefruit juice, and lime juice.
  • Stir gently to combine.
  • Top with grapefruit soda and stir gently again.
  • Garnish with a grapefruit wedge or slice. Serve immediately.

Notes

Blanco tequila keeps things crisp. Adjust the elderflower liqueur for less sweetness. Pink grapefruit gives the best color, but white grapefruit works too. For a party, batch ahead and add soda before serving.
