  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jar with lid
  • Bar spoon
  • Citrus juicer
  • Measuring jigger
  • Small measuring cup
  • Strainer
  • Ice cubes
  • Crushed ice
  • Small knife
  • Cutting Board

Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila blanco
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz orange juice fresh or blood orange
  • 4-5 fresh mint leaves
  • 4 oz sparkling mineral water or sparkling water
  • lime wedge for garnish
  • mint sprig for garnish
  • ice to fill the glass

Instructions

  • Fill your Collins glass halfway with ice.
  • Add the mint leaves to a shaker and press them gently with the back of a spoon.
  • Pour in tequila blanco, lime juice, and orange juice.
  • Toss in some ice and shake for about 10 seconds.
  • Strain into the glass over fresh ice.
  • Top with sparkling mineral water.
  • Stir gently with a bar spoon.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge and a mint sprig.

Notes

Fresh citrus is best for bright flavor. For a less sweet drink, use less orange juice or try blood orange. Mineral water with a touch of salt balances flavors. Gently slap mint leaves to release aroma. Serve immediately for best bubbles and freshness.
