  • Fine grater or microplane

  • Cocktail muddler or spoon

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh orange juice about 2 medium oranges
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice about 1/2 large lemon
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1/2 cup ginger ale or sparkling water
  • 1 –2 teaspoons simple syrup to taste
  • 3 –4 mint leaves plus extra for garnish
  • Ice cubes as needed
  • Orange slices for garnish

Instructions

  • In a glass or mixing jug, add mint leaves and simple syrup. Gently muddle to release flavor.
  • Pour in the fresh orange juice and lemon juice.
  • Grate in the fresh ginger and stir to combine.
  • Fill a serving glass with ice cubes.
  • Pour the juice mixture over the ice.
  • Top with ginger ale or sparkling water and stir gently.
  • Garnish with an orange slice and a sprig of mint.
  • Serve immediately while cold and fizzy.
