Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Martini glass
  • Strainer
  • Bar spoon
  • Citrus zester or small grater
  • Small knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Ice cubes

Ingredients

  • 2 oz vanilla vodka or whipped cream vodka
  • 1 oz triple sec or other orange liqueur
  • 1.5 oz orange juice fresh if possible
  • 1 oz heavy cream or milk for lighter texture
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract optional
  • ice cubes for shaking
  • whipped cream for topping
  • orange slice or orange zest for garnish

Instructions

  • Chill a martini glass in the freezer for a few minutes.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  • Add vanilla vodka, triple sec (or other orange liqueur), orange juice, heavy cream (or milk), and optional vanilla extract.
  • Shake vigorously for about 20 seconds until the shaker feels icy cold.
  • Strain into the chilled martini glass.
  • Top with a swirl of whipped cream and garnish with an orange slice or a sprinkle of orange zest. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra citrus pop, use orange-flavored vodka. Prefer it lighter? Swap milk for cream. Want it richer? Increase the cream slightly. Always shake hard to fully emulsify the dairy with the citrus for a smooth, frothy texture.
