Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz vodka
  • 1 oz coffee liqueur such as Kahlúa
  • 1 oz fresh espresso let cool slightly
  • 0.5 oz crème de cacao dark or white
  • 0.25 oz orange liqueur Cointreau or triple sec
  • ice cubes for shaking
  • orange zest or twist for garnish
  • chocolate shavings optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill your cocktail shaker about halfway with ice.
  • Pour in the vodka, coffee liqueur, espresso, crème de cacao, and orange liqueur.
  • Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until well chilled and frothy.
  • Strain into a chilled martini glass.
  • Top with orange zest and, if desired, chocolate shavings. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh espresso for the best flavor. Adjust sweetness or orange liqueur to taste. Chilling the glass helps keep the cocktail cold and the foam lasting longer.
