Equipment

  • Punch bowl
  • Saucepan
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Citrus juicer
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Ladle
  • Mugs or punch glasses
  • Stirring spoon
  • Knife and cutting board

Ingredients

  • 750 ml tequila
  • 1 cup triple sec
  • 3 cups pineapple juice
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 1 cup lime juice fresh-squeezed
  • 2 cups Sprite or lemon-lime soda
  • 3 tbsp honey or agave syrup
  • 2-3 cinnamon sticks
  • 4-6 whole cloves
  • 1-2 star anise pods optional
  • 1 orange sliced
  • 1 lime sliced
  • ice optional, for serving

Instructions

  • Add pineapple juice, orange juice, lime juice, cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, and honey to a saucepan. Warm gently over medium heat for about 10 minutes (do not boil).
  • Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes.
  • Strain the liquid into a large punch bowl to remove spices.
  • Add tequila, triple sec, and Sprite. Stir well.
  • Add ice, orange slices, and lime slices to the bowl.
  • Ladle punch into mugs or glasses and serve warm or over ice.

Notes

For deeper flavor, let juices and spices steep up to 30 minutes before straining. Adjust sweetness with more honey or soda. For a less sweet punch, use soda water instead of Sprite. Serve warm or chilled, garnished with fresh citrus.
