Ingredients

  • 1 oz vodka

  • 1 oz Irish cream liqueur e.g., Baileys
  • 1 oz heavy cream or milk for lighter texture
  • 1 tbsp chocolate syrup
  • ice cubes for shaking

  • chocolate shavings or cocoa powder optional, for garnish
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream optional, for frozen Mudslide

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  • Add vodka, coffee liqueur, Irish cream, heavy cream, and chocolate syrup.
  • Shake for about 15 seconds, until the shaker feels cold, then strain into a chilled highball or rocks glass.
  • Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings or a light dusting of cocoa, if desired.
  • Frozen version: blend vodka, coffee liqueur, Irish cream, chocolate syrup, and vanilla ice cream until smooth; pour into a chilled glass and garnish.

Notes

Stick with Baileys and Kahlúa for the classic profile. Adjust sweetness with extra syrup, or lighten by swapping milk for cream. Keep everything well-chilled for the smoothest texture; avoid over-shaking to prevent excessive froth.
