  • Cutting board and knife
  • Measuring jigger or small cup
  • Strainer
  • Tall glass
  • Bar spoon
  • Optional small sieve

Ingredients

  • 4-5 slices fresh cucumber (plus extra for garnish)
  • 6-8 leaves fresh mint
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice (about half a lime)
  • 1 oz simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water)
  • 2 oz cucumber juice (optional, for stronger cucumber flavor)
  • soda water or tonic water (to top off)
  • ice cubes (enough to fill shaker and glass)
  • lime wheel or wedge (for garnish)
  • mint sprig (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Add cucumber slices and mint leaves to a cocktail shaker.
  • Use a muddler to gently press them until they release juice and aroma.
  • Pour in lime juice and simple syrup.
  • If using cucumber juice, add it now.
  • Fill the shaker with ice, cover, and shake for 10–15 seconds.
  • Strain the mixture into a tall glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Top with soda water or tonic water.
  • Stir lightly with a bar spoon.
  • Garnish with a cucumber slice, lime wheel, and mint sprig.

Notes

Muddle gently to avoid bitterness from mint.
Use fresh lime juice for the best flavor.
Strain blended cucumber for a stronger flavor.
Chill your glass for extra refreshment.
Soda water makes it lighter; tonic water adds a slight bitterness.
