Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 4 oz ginger beer or ginger ale
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 4-5 fresh mint leaves
  • 2-3 slices apple thin, for garnish
  • 1 lime wedge for garnish
  • 1 small cinnamon stick optional
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  • Fill copper mug or highball glass with ice.
  • Muddle mint leaves in shaker. Add vodka and lime juice. Shake lightly with ice, then strain into glass.
  • Top with ginger beer. Stir gently.
  • Garnish with apple slices, lime wedge, and cinnamon stick if desired.

Notes

Use ginger beer for more spice, or ginger ale for a softer, sweeter version. Fresh mint and lime keep the drink bright. A splash of apple cider adds sweetness if desired.
