Equipment

  • Champagne flutes
  • Measuring jigger or shot glass
  • Bar spoon
  • Small pitcher (optional)
  • Ice bucket for chilling wine

Ingredients

  • 3 oz prosecco or champagne chilled
  • 3 oz fresh-squeezed orange juice chilled
  • 1/4 oz grenadine
  • Orange slices for garnish
  • Ice for chilling glasses

Instructions

  • Chill the champagne flutes in the freezer for 15 minutes.
  • Pour the fresh orange juice into each flute, filling about halfway.
  • Slowly add the prosecco or champagne by tilting the glass and pouring down the side. This helps keep the bubbles.
  • Gently add grenadine by pouring it down the side of the glass. It will sink to create a layered effect.
  • Garnish with an orange slice on the rim of each glass.

Notes

Store sparkling wine and orange juice in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Fresh-squeezed juice tastes much better than bottled juice.
To make a large batch, multiply the ingredients by the number of servings needed. Mix orange juice and sparkling wine in a pitcher, then add grenadine to individual glasses.
Serve the drink right away before the bubbles disappear.
For an alcohol-free version, use sparkling water or ginger ale instead of sparkling wine.
