  • Margarita glasses or rocks glasses
  • Ice bucket
  • Fine-mesh strainer

Ingredients

  • 12 oz silver tequila 100% agave
  • 6 oz Cointreau or triple sec

  • Fill the shaker 3/4 full with ice cubes. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds.
  • Strain the mixture into the prepared glasses.
  • Garnish each glass with a lime wheel.

Notes

Store leftover mix in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
For a spicy twist, add 2-3 slices of jalapeño to the shaker before mixing.
Replace agave with simple syrup if needed.
Make it a frozen margarita by blending ingredients with 2 cups of ice instead of shaking.
Salt rim is optional - some prefer sugar or tajin seasoning instead.
