Equipment

  • Blender
  • Strainer
  • Pitcher
  • Ice cube tray
  • Glasses
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Muddler or wooden spoon

Ingredients

For 4 servings, gather:

  • 4 cups cubed honeydew melon
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 4 cups cold sparkling water
  • Ice cubes
  • Melon balls and mint sprigs for garnish

The honeydew provides a sweet base. Meanwhile, mint adds freshness, and lime gives a tangy kick. Honey balances the flavors, and sparkling water brings fizz.

Instructions

  • Freeze 1 cup of melon cubes for 2 hours.
  • Next, blend the rest of the melon until smooth.
  • Strain the puree into a pitcher.
  • After that, add lime juice and honey. Stir until mixed.
  • Muddle mint leaves in glasses.
  • Then, add ice and frozen melon cubes to glasses.
  • Pour in the melon mixture.
  • Top with sparkling water.
  • Lastly, stir gently and garnish with melon balls and mint sprigs.

Serve right away for the best taste and fizz.

    Notes

This recipe works with other melons too. Try cantaloupe or watermelon for different flavors.
For a sweeter drink, add more honey. For less sweet, use less.
Make it ahead by prepping the melon mix and storing it in the fridge. Add sparkling water just before serving.
Kids love this drink. It's a great choice for parties or picnics.
For a fancy touch, rim glasses with sugar before adding the drink.
