  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Bar spoon
  • Measuring jigger
  • Small whisk or matcha whisk
  • Citrus juicer
  • Rocks glass or coupe glass
  • Ice cubes

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice or lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz honey or honey syrup honey syrup mixes best
  • 2 oz kombucha plain or lightly flavored
  • 1 egg white optional, for foam
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  • Whisk matcha powder with a splash of warm water until smooth and lump-free.
  • Add vodka, lime juice, honey, and egg white (if using) to a shaker.
  • Pour in the dissolved matcha.
  • Add ice and shake hard for about 15 seconds. For best foam, dry shake (without ice) first, then add ice and shake again.
  • Strain through a fine mesh strainer into a rocks or coupe glass.
  • Top with kombucha and give a gentle stir. Garnish with a lime wedge or dusting of matcha if you’re feeling fancy.

Notes

Ceremonial-grade matcha is smoothest. Honey syrup dissolves best. Kombucha can be plain or lightly flavored—avoid overpowering flavors. Egg white is optional for a creamy foam. Adjust honey and citrus to taste. Double/triple for parties!
