Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon ceremonial grade matcha green tea powder
  • 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
  • 0.5 cup mango chunks fresh or frozen
  • 0.5 banana
  • 0.25 avocado optional, for creaminess
  • 1 teaspoon honey or simple syrup
  • 1 oz vodka, whiskey, or bourbon choose one
  • 0.5 oz lime juice or lemon juice
  • 0.5 cup pineapple juice or green tea chilled
  • ice cubes
  • fresh mint or basil leaves for garnish
  • club soda, tonic water, or ginger beer splash, optional for fizz

Instructions

  • Whisk matcha powder with a splash of warm water in a small bowl until smooth.
  • Add mango, banana, avocado, hemp seeds, honey, lime juice, pineapple juice (or green tea), and whisked matcha to the blender.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy. Add more liquid if too thick.
  • Add vodka, whiskey, or bourbon and blend again just to combine.
  • For a fizzier drink, stir in a splash of club soda, tonic water, or ginger beer.
  • Pour into a chilled glass, garnish with fresh mint or basil, and serve immediately.

Notes

Frozen mango or banana makes the smoothie thicker without extra ice. Honey simple syrup dissolves best. For a lighter version, skip the spirits and serve as a classic matcha smoothie. Adjust fruit/liquid for your ideal thickness. Mint or basil adds fresh flavor. Everyday green tea powder can work in place of ceremonial matcha.
