Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana fresh or frozen
  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder culinary grade is fine
  • 1 cup milk or oat milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional, for sweetness
  • 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon optional, for a little spice
  • 1 scoop protein powder optional, for filling power
  • ice cubes optional, for a colder shake
  • fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Slice the banana into small pieces.
  • Whisk matcha powder with 2 tablespoons of warm water until smooth and clump-free.
  • Add banana, whisked matcha, milk or oat milk, and honey or maple syrup to the blender.
  • Add cinnamon, protein powder, and a few ice cubes if using. Blend on high until creamy and smooth.
  • Taste and add more sweetener or cinnamon if desired. For a colder, thicker shake, add extra ice or use frozen banana and blend again.
  • Pour into a tall glass and garnish with mint leaves. Enjoy immediately!

Notes

Frozen banana makes it thick and creamy—skip the ice if you use it. Oat milk adds a nutty twist. Cinnamon is cozy, protein powder adds snack power, and mint brightens the finish. Adjust matcha to taste—more for a strong green tea kick, less for mild flavor.
