Matcha Almond Milk Latte Cocktail Recipe
This Matcha Almond Milk Latte Cocktail blends earthy ceremonial matcha, creamy almond milk, gentle maple sweetness, and (optionally) a splash of vodka or gin. It’s a refreshing, nutty, slightly sweet drink—perfect for slow mornings or relaxing evenings, and easy to make vegan or spirit-free.

Equipment

  • Bamboo whisk (chasen) or matcha whisk
  • Small bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • Electric milk frother or handheld frother
  • Cocktail shaker with lid
  • Tall glass or cocktail glass
  • Strainer
  • Spoon

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon ceremonial matcha powder
  • 0.75 cup unsweetened almond milk oat or coconut milk works too
  • 1-2 teaspoons maple syrup or simple syrup to taste
  • 1.5 oz vodka or gin
  • ice cubes
  • pinch of stevia optional, for extra sweetness

Instructions

  • Sift matcha powder into a small bowl to remove clumps.
  • Add 2 tablespoons hot (not boiling) water and whisk with a bamboo whisk until frothy.
  • Froth the almond milk with an electric frother until warm and foamy.
  • Add ice, frothed almond milk, whisked matcha, sweetener, and vodka or gin (if using) to a cocktail shaker.
  • Shake for 15–20 seconds until cold and blended.
  • Strain into a tall glass or cocktail glass with fresh ice. Stir gently and adjust sweetness if needed.

Notes

Almond milk gives a light, nutty flavor; oat milk makes it creamier, coconut milk adds sweetness (use less syrup if so). Enjoy spirit-free as a chilled latte, or add coffee liqueur for a twist. Adjust sweetness to your taste. Shake with ice for a smoother, colder drink.
