Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Tall glass
  • Straw or spoon
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana sliced before freezing
  • 1 cup almond milk unsweetened or vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon plus more for garnish
  • extra sweetener to taste

Instructions

  • Add frozen banana, almond milk, maple syrup, vanilla, ice cubes, and cinnamon to blender.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down sides as needed.
  • Taste and add more sweetener if needed. Blend again.
  • Pour into tall glass. Garnish with cinnamon stick or sprinkle of cinnamon. Serve with a straw or spoon, right away.

Notes

For thicker texture, use more frozen banana or ice. Maple syrup gives natural sweetness—honey works too. Oat or soy milk are good alternatives. Enjoy fresh; separation may occur if left to sit. Add extra vanilla for a bolder flavor.
