Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon or rye
  • 0.5 oz maple syrup
  • 2 dashes angostura bitters
  • 1 dash orange bitters
  • 2 oz ginger beer
  • 1 large ice cube
  • 1 strip orange peel for garnish
  • 1 cinnamon stick optional
  • 1 maraschino cherry optional

Instructions

  • Add bourbon, maple syrup, angostura bitters, and orange bitters to a mixing glass.
  • Add ice and stir for about 20 seconds to chill.
  • Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
  • Top with ginger beer and stir gently to mix.
  • Twist orange peel over glass, then add as garnish. Add cinnamon stick or cherry if desired.
