Ingredients

  • 2 oz spiced rum
  • 1 oz dark rum
  • 1 oz pure maple syrup
  • 1 oz apple cider
  • 1 oz fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • pinch ground nutmeg
  • 1 cinnamon stick for garnish
  • 1 star anise optional, for garnish
  • apple slices for garnish
  • orange slices for garnish
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  • Add spiced rum, dark rum, maple syrup, apple cider, orange juice, lemon juice, lime juice, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg to the shaker.
  • Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
  • Shake well until the mixture is very cold—about 15 to 20 seconds.
  • Strain the mixture into a serving glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Garnish with a cinnamon stick, star anise, and apple or orange slices.
  • Stir gently before serving.

Notes

Swap apple cider with apple juice if needed. Use both spiced and dark rum for richer flavor. Top with club soda or ginger ale for a lighter punch. Multiply by four for a party batch. Adjust maple syrup to taste and store leftovers in the fridge.
