Ingredients

  • 2 cups Kentucky bourbon
  • 0.5 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 0.33 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 0.25 cup orange juice fresh squeezed
  • 4 dashes orange bitters
  • 4 dashes aromatic bitters
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 0.5 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2-3 whole star anise
  • 0.33 cup club soda or ginger beer, optional for fizz
  • lemon wheels for garnish
  • orange slices for garnish
  • cinnamon sticks for garnish
  • rosemary sprigs for garnish
  • crushed or cubed ice

Instructions

  • Add bourbon, maple syrup, apple cider, lemon juice, orange juice, bitters, and vanilla to a mixing pitcher or punch bowl.
  • Add cinnamon stick, nutmeg, and star anise.
  • Stir until well combined.
  • Fill glasses with ice and pour punch over ice, straining out spices if desired.
  • Top with club soda or ginger beer if desired.
  • Garnish with lemon wheels, orange slices, rosemary, or cinnamon stick.
  • Serve immediately and refrigerate any leftovers.

Notes

Always use pure maple syrup for best flavor. Fresh-squeezed lemon juice keeps the punch bright. Adjust sweetness or spice to taste. Add club soda for a lighter version or sparkling cider for extra festivity.
