Ingredients

  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 1 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup club soda optional, for topping
  • ice cubes

  • cinnamon sticks optional, garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a shaker halfway with ice cubes.
  • Add apple cider, bourbon, maple syrup, and lemon juice to the shaker.
  • Secure the lid and shake well for about 20 seconds.
  • Strain over fresh ice into a pitcher or directly into serving glasses.
  • If desired, top with chilled club soda for a fizzy finish.
  • Garnish with apple slices, lemon slices, and cinnamon sticks.
  • Stir gently before serving to blend the garnish flavors.

Notes

Use your favorite bourbon—smoother is better. Adjust maple syrup to taste. Chill all ingredients before mixing for the coldest punch. Omit bourbon for a non-alcoholic version and add extra cider (a splash of orange juice is nice). Club soda adds fizz, but it’s delicious without. Fresh apple cider is best for big flavor. Try a pinch of nutmeg or a cinnamon stick for more autumn spice!
