This sweet and tangy mango margarita brings tropical flavors to a classic cocktail. The fresh mango and lime juice create a bright, refreshing drink perfect for warm weather gatherings.
Mix equal parts salt and chili powder on a small plate if using a spiced rim.
Run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip in the salt mixture.
Add mango, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup to a shaker filled with ice.
Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds until well chilled.
Strain through both strainers into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
Garnish with a mango slice and lime wheel.
Notes
Fresh mango makes the best puree. Peel and cut one ripe mango, then blend until smooth.Store leftover mango puree in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For a frozen version, combine all ingredients with 1 cup of ice in a blender until smooth.Skip the simple syrup if using very ripe mangoes or if you prefer less sweetness.
