Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon whiskey
  • 1 oz Malibu rum
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.75 oz simple syrup
  • 1 egg white optional, for foam
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • ice cubes
  • lemon wheel or cherry for garnish

Instructions

  • Pour bourbon, Malibu, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white (if using) into your shaker.
  • Dry shake (without ice) for about 15 seconds to create foam.
  • Add ice to the shaker and shake again until well chilled.
  • Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters over the foam.
  • Garnish with a lemon wheel or cherry.

Notes

Adjust sweetness by adding less simple syrup or more lemon juice. Bourbon gives structure while Malibu adds coconut softness. Use large ice cubes for slower melting. Egg white creates classic foam but is optional.
