Ingredients

  • 2 oz Malibu rum
  • 4 oz lemon-lime soda Sprite or similar
  • 2 oz ginger ale or club soda
  • 1 oz grenadine syrup
  • 1 oz pomegranate juice or cherry juice optional, for more depth
  • splash of orange juice or lemonade optional, for a citrus twist
  • ice cubes
  • maraschino cherries for garnish
  • lime wedges or orange slices for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  • Pour in Malibu rum using a jigger.
  • Add lemon-lime soda and ginger ale (or club soda).
  • Slowly pour in grenadine so it settles at the bottom for a classic layered look.
  • Add pomegranate juice or cherry juice if using.
  • Add a splash of orange juice or lemonade for a fruity twist (optional).
  • Stir gently with a spoon to keep the fizz.
  • Garnish with maraschino cherries and a lime or orange wedge. Serve with a straw.

Notes

Use club soda for a less sweet drink. For a fruitier twist, add orange juice or lemonade. Top with extra cherry juice if desired. Easily scaled for parties!
