Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring jigger
  • Tall glass or hurricane glass
  • Bar spoon
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Straw

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Malibu coconut rum
  • 1 oz white rum optional for extra kick
  • 3 oz pineapple juice fresh preferred
  • 2 oz cream of coconut
  • 1 cup ice crushed or cubed
  • pineapple wedge for garnish
  • maraschino cherry for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • Add ice, Malibu coconut rum, white rum (if using), pineapple juice, and cream of coconut to the blender.
  • Blend until smooth and thick, about 20–30 seconds.
  • Taste and adjust—add more juice if too strong, or more rum if you like it boozier.
  • Pour into a tall glass or hurricane glass.
  • Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry. Serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

For a lighter cocktail, skip the extra white rum and use only Malibu. For a stronger drink, use both rums. Crushed ice blends fastest for a creamy texture. Fresh pineapple juice gives the best flavor, but canned works in a pinch. Adjust cream of coconut to taste based on brand and desired sweetness.
