Ingredients

  • 2 oz Malibu coconut rum
  • 1 oz white rum or light rum
  • 3 oz pineapple juice
  • 2 oz orange juice
  • 1 oz mango juice or passion fruit juice
  • 1 oz cranberry juice
  • 1 oz coconut water or coconut milk for creaminess
  • 0.5 oz grenadine for color
  • 0.5 oz dark rum float on top
  • ice cubes
  • pineapple wedges garnish
  • maraschino cherries garnish
  • orange slices garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Add Malibu rum, white rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, mango juice, and coconut water.
  • Shake well until chilled.
  • Strain into a hurricane glass filled with ice.
  • Slowly pour grenadine down the side so it settles at the bottom.
  • Gently float dark rum on top using the back of a spoon.
  • Garnish with pineapple wedges and maraschino cherries. Serve with a straw.

Notes

Swap juices to play with sweetness or tartness. For a crowd, mix in a punch bowl with ice. Grenadine adds a layered look. For a creamier version, use coconut milk. Garnish with pineapple, cherry, or orange for a festive touch.
