Ingredients

  • 2 oz Malibu Coconut Rum or Malibu Coconut Liqueur
  • 1 oz silver tequila
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz coconut cream or cream of coconut
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup optional, for added sweetness
  • ice cubes for shaking and serving
  • lime wedge or wheel for garnish
  • toasted coconut flakes or salt for rimming the glass, optional

Instructions

  • Rim your glass with lime juice and dip it in salt or coconut flakes if desired.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes.
  • Add Malibu Coconut Rum, silver tequila, lime juice, and coconut cream to the shaker. Add simple syrup if using.
  • Shake well for 15–20 seconds until the shaker feels cold and the mix is frothy.
  • Strain into a chilled rocks or margarita glass filled with ice.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge or wheel. Serve immediately.

Notes

Cream of coconut makes a sweeter, creamier drink, while coconut cream is lighter. For a stronger cocktail, add extra tequila. Skip the simple syrup if you prefer less sweetness. Crushed ice can turn it into a frozen coconut margarita. Chill your glass for the best experience.
