  • Bar spoon
  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Ice crusher or mallet
  • Straw
  • Paper umbrella

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Malibu coconut rum
  • 1 oz white rum optional, for extra kick
  • 1 ripe banana sliced
  • 3 oz pineapple juice
  • 2 oz coconut cream or cream of coconut
  • 1 oz coconut milk optional, for lighter drink

  • whipped cream optional, for garnish
  • paper umbrella optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • Add banana slices, pineapple juice, coconut cream, coconut milk, lime juice, and Malibu rum to a blender.
  • Add the crushed ice or frozen pineapple chunks.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Taste and adjust: add more juice if too thick, more ice if too thin.
  • Pour into a chilled hurricane glass.
  • Garnish with a pineapple slice, banana slice, maraschino cherry, whipped cream, and a paper umbrella if desired.
  • Serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

This cocktail is best enjoyed fresh, as banana can discolor if left to sit. For a thicker, colder drink, use frozen fruit. Adjust sweetness by adding orange juice or more pineapple juice. Garnish with a pineapple wedge, cherry, whipped cream, or a paper umbrella for a true tropical vibe.
