2ozvodka
1ozfresh lemon juice
3/4ozthyme simple syrup
1egg whiteoptional
Ice cubes
Fresh thyme sprigs for garnish
For thyme simple syrup:
1cupwater
1cupgranulated sugar
8-10fresh thyme sprigs
Instructions
Make the thyme simple syrup: Combine water and sugar in a small pot. Heat until sugar dissolves. Add thyme sprigs and let steep for 10 minutes. Strain and cool.
Add vodka, lemon juice, thyme simple syrup, and egg white (if using) to a cocktail shaker.
If using egg white, shake without ice first for 10 seconds (dry shake).
Add ice to the shaker and shake again for 15 seconds.
Double strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
Garnish with a fresh thyme sprig.
Notes
The drink can be made without egg white for a lighter texture.
