Ingredients

  • 2 oz blanco or silver tequila Casamigos or Espolòn recommended
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup or honey syrup
  • 2-3 slices fresh ginger
  • 3-4 oz sparkling mineral water Topo Chico or similar
  • ice cubes for shaking and serving
  • lime wedge for garnish
  • lemon wheel for garnish

Instructions

  • Add tequila, lemon juice, lime juice, simple syrup, and ginger slices to a shaker with ice.
  • Shake for about 10 seconds to chill and mix the flavors.
  • Strain into a chilled highball glass packed with ice.
  • Top with sparkling mineral water and stir gently with a bar spoon.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge or lemon wheel. Serve immediately for best fizz and freshness.

Notes

For extra ginger kick, muddle the ginger before shaking. Add more lemon or lime for a tarter flavor, or swap in orange liqueur for extra smoothness. Topo Chico delivers the best bubbles and minerality. Serve ice-cold!
