Equipment

  • Large pitcher (64 oz capacity)
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Wooden spoon or long cocktail spoon
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Wine glasses for serving

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle 750ml dry white wine (Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc)
  • 2 cups lavender simple syrup
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice about 6-8 lemons
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2 lemons sliced
  • 2 peaches sliced
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • Fresh lavender sprigs for garnish
  • Ice for serving

Instructions

  • Pour the white wine into a large pitcher.
  • Add the lavender simple syrup and fresh lemon juice. Stir gently to combine.
  • Add the cold water and stir again.
  • Place the sliced lemons, peaches, and blueberries into the pitcher.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to 8 hours to let the flavors blend.
  • To serve, fill wine glasses with ice and pour the sangria over top.
  • Garnish each glass with fresh fruit from the pitcher and a sprig of lavender.

Notes

The sangria can be made up to 24 hours in advance. Store it in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Fresh fruit works best, but frozen peaches and blueberries can be used when fresh isn't available.
For a stronger drink, add 1/2 cup vodka or light rum to the mixture.
To make an alcohol-free version, replace the wine with white grape juice or sparkling water.
The lavender flavor will get stronger over time, so taste and adjust the amount of syrup as needed.
