I use fresh cucumber, lavender syrup, and crisp gin to make this cocktail. Getting the flavor right means having the proper tools and a few simple steps.
Cocktail shaker: It helps mix everything smoothly.
Jigger: Honestly, I’d be lost without it—measuring is key.
Muddler: Needed to smash the cucumber and release the juice.
Fine mesh strainer: Catches seeds and bits for a clean drink.
Cutting board and knife: For slicing cucumber and lemon—simple stuff.
Highball or Collins glass: I like these tall glasses for lots of ice.
Bar spoon: Handy for a gentle stir at the end.
Ice: The more, the better. No one wants a lukewarm cocktail.

1ouncelavender simple syrup
4-5slicesfresh cucumber
1/2ouncefresh lemon juice
2-3ouncesclub sodato top
Cucumber rounds and lavender sprigsfor garnish
Ice cubes
Instructions
Drop your cucumber slices in the shaker and muddle them until juicy.
Add gin, lavender syrup, and lemon juice.
Fill the shaker with ice and give it a good shake—about 15 seconds does it.
Strain into a glass with fresh ice, using a fine mesh strainer.
Top with club soda and stir gently.
Garnish with a cucumber round and a sprig of lavender if you’re feeling fancy.
Notes
Lavender can get strong fast, so I start with less syrup and add more if I want. Chilling the ingredients before mixing makes a huge difference—it’s just so much more refreshing that way.If I’m skipping the gin, I just add more club soda (or sometimes tonic). The flavor really depends on your gin, so don’t be afraid to experiment. Oh, and always use fresh lemon juice—it’s worth it.
