2cupswatermelon juicefresh, from blended seedless watermelon
2oztequilasilver or blanco
1ozlime juicefresh
1oztriple secor other orange liqueur
0.5ozsimple syrupor agave nectar; adjust to taste
2-3slicesjalapeñothin; remove seeds for less heat
ice cubes

Instructions
Blend the fresh watermelon until smooth, then strain out the pulp to make watermelon juice.
Add tequila, lime juice, triple sec, and simple syrup (or agave) to a cocktail shaker.
Add the jalapeño slices and a generous handful of ice.
Shake hard for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
Strain into margarita glasses filled with fresh ice.
Garnish with a small watermelon wedge or a jalapeño slice.
Notes
Fresh watermelon juice and fresh-squeezed lime give the best flavor and color. Prep watermelon juice and (optional) jalapeño syrup in advance and chill if serving a crowd. A chili-salt rim pairs beautifully with the sweet watermelon.
