Ingredients

  • 1 cup spiced rum
  • 1 cup brandy or cognac
  • ½ cup orange liqueur e.g., Grand Marnier
  • 2 cups orange juice fresh-squeezed, if possible
  • 2 cups apple juice
  • 1 cup ginger ale
  • ½ cup club soda
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons sugar or 2 sugar cubes dissolved
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 3 –5 whole cloves
  • Orange slices garnish
  • Apple slices garnish
  • Cinnamon sticks garnish
  • Pumpkin seeds optional garnish
  • Lime twist for glass garnish

Instructions

  • In a mixing glass or pitcher, combine rum, brandy (or cognac), and orange liqueur.
  • Add orange juice, apple juice, and lemon juice.
  • Stir in sugar until fully dissolved.
  • Sprinkle in cinnamon, nutmeg, and add whole cloves. Stir again.
  • Fill punch bowl halfway with ice.
  • Pour mixture into the punch bowl.
  • Add ginger ale and club soda. Stir gently.
  • Garnish the punch with orange slices, apple slices, cinnamon sticks, and pumpkin seeds if using.
  • Serve in old-fashioned glasses over ice.
  • Garnish with a lime twist or apple slice.
