Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Matcha whisk (chasen) or frother
  • Measuring jigger
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Tall glass
  • Small bowl
  • Spoon
  • Ice cubes

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 oz honey syrup equal parts honey and hot water
  • 1 oz cold filtered water
  • 1 egg white optional, for foam
  • ice cubes
  • fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Add matcha powder to a small bowl. Pour in 1 oz hot water and whisk until smooth and frothy.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add vodka, lemon juice, honey syrup, cold water, and egg white (if using).
  • Pour in the whisked matcha. Shake hard for 15–20 seconds, until chilled and foamy.
  • Strain into a tall glass filled with ice.
  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves. Enjoy!

Notes

Use filtered water for the cleanest taste. Adjust honey syrup for sweetness, or skip vodka for a delicious mocktail. Always whisk matcha with hot water to avoid lumps. Egg white adds foam but is optional. Best served fresh and cold.
