Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon smooth, medium‑bodied
  • 3-4 fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 0.5 oz hot honey
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup
  • 0.75 oz lemon juice fresh
  • 2-3 leaves mint plus extra for garnish
  • 2 dashes bitters
  • club soda splash, to top
  • ice for shaking and serving
  • 1 mint sprig or strawberry slice for garnish

Instructions

  • Add sliced strawberries and mint to a shaker and muddle gently to release juices and aroma.
  • Add bourbon, hot honey, simple syrup, lemon juice, and bitters.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice (fine‑strain if you prefer fewer seeds).
  • Top with a splash of club soda, garnish with a mint sprig or strawberry slice, and serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust heat with the amount of hot honey. For a sweeter sip, add a touch more simple syrup or reduce lemon juice slightly. Use ripe strawberries for the brightest flavor. For a lighter version, add more club soda and reduce bourbon to 1 oz.
