Ingredients

  • 2 oz blanco tequila Casamigos, Don Julio, or Patron Silver
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 3 oz honeydew puree or muddled honeydew
  • 4 oz sparkling mineral water Topo Chico preferred
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup or agave nectar, optional, to taste
  • ice cubes
  • lime wheel optional, for garnish
  • honeydew ball optional, for garnish
  • jalapeño slice optional, for garnish
  • Tajín for rim, optional
  • coarse salt for rim, optional

Instructions

  • Rim your glass with lime juice, then dip it in Tajín or salt if desired.
  • Fill the highball glass or mason jar with ice.
  • Combine tequila, lime juice, honeydew puree, and simple syrup in a shaker or mixing glass. Shake or stir lightly to blend.
  • Strain into your prepped glass.
  • Top with sparkling mineral water and stir gently with a bar spoon.
  • Garnish with a lime wheel, honeydew ball, or jalapeño slice if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use mezcal for a smoky twist, or add grapefruit juice for more citrus flavor. For less sweetness, skip the syrup. Store extra honeydew puree in the fridge. Always use fresh lime juice for best results.
