whiskey
bourbon, rye, Irish whiskey, or scotch

honey

boiling water or hot tea
black or herbal

fresh lemon juice

–2 lemon slices

cinnamon stick

–3 whole cloves

star anise
optional

–3 slices fresh ginger

Dash of nutmeg

lemon peel, or splash of apple cider (optional garnish)
Instructions
Warm your mug by filling it with hot water; discard water once the mug is warm.
Add honey and fresh lemon juice to the empty mug.
Pour in the whiskey of your choice.
Add boiling water or hot tea and stir well until honey fully dissolves.
Add cinnamon stick, whole cloves, and ginger slices if using.
Stir gently and let the flavors steep for 1–2 minutes.
Garnish with a lemon slice, orange slice, star anise, or lemon peel.
Serve hot and enjoy immediately.
