Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Citrus juicer
  • Bar spoon
  • Highball or stemless wine glass
  • Ice cubes

Ingredients

  • 2 oz gin Empress 1908 or any gin
  • 1 oz honey lavender simple syrup
  • 1 oz lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 3 oz lemonade fresh if possible
  • ice for shaking and serving
  • lemon slice for garnish
  • lavender sprig for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  • Add gin, honey‑lavender simple syrup, and fresh lemon juice.
  • Shake hard for about 15 seconds until the shaker is very cold.
  • Strain into a chilled glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Top with lemonade and give a gentle stir. Garnish with a lemon slice and a lavender sprig. Serve immediately.

Notes

Make honey‑lavender syrup by simmering equal parts honey and water with dried culinary lavender, then strain and chill. Layer the lemonade to show off color, if using Empress gin. Adjust sweetness by adding more or less syrup, and brighten with extra lemon to taste.
