Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger
  • Blender (optional for frozen)
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Margarita glass
  • Small plate for salt
  • Bar spoon
  • Knife and cutting board

Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila blanco
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • 1 oz lime juice fresh
  • 1 oz dragon fruit puree fresh or frozen
  • 0.5 oz honey or agave nectar
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup optional, for extra sweetness
  • 1 oz sparkling water optional, to top
  • ice cubes
  • coarse salt for the rim
  • lime wedges and dragon fruit slices for garnish

Instructions

  • Rim the glass: rub a lime wedge around the rim of a margarita glass, then dip into coarse salt.
  • Shake: add tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, dragon fruit puree, honey, and (optional) simple syrup to a shaker with ice.
  • Shake for about 15 seconds until very cold, then fine‑strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
  • Top (optional): add a splash of sparkling water for fizz.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge and a dragon fruit slice and serve immediately.
  • Frozen option: blend all ingredients with a cup of ice instead of shaking, then pour into the salted glass.

Notes

If honey is thick, loosen it with a teaspoon of warm water so it blends smoothly. Adjust sweetness by adding or reducing honey or simple syrup. Red dragon fruit gives the brightest color.
