Equipment

  • A shaker or mixing glass
  • Measuring spoons and cups
  • A citrus juicer
  • Ice cube tray
  • A set of fancy glasses for serving

Ingredients

Here’s what I use to make this citrusy delight:

  • Lemon juice: 1/4 cup fresh
  • Sparkling water: 1 cup
  • Non-alcoholic triple sec: 1 tbsp
  • Simple syrup: 1 tbsp adjust to your taste
  • Mint leaves and lemon slices for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Fresh ingredients make the drink taste better. If you prefer less or more sweetness, adjust the simple syrup accordingly.

Instructions

I start by juicing lemons to get about 1/4 cup of fresh juice.

  • In the shaker, I add the lemon juice, non-alcoholic triple sec, and simple syrup.
  • I fill the shaker with ice, then shake well. You can also stir if you prefer.
  • I fill my glass with ice cubes and pour the mixture over. I top it with the sparkling water for fizz.
  • I add a few mint leaves and a lemon slice on the rim.

Notes

I like to chill the sparkling water beforehand. This ensures the drink is cold and fizzy. The amount of simple syrup can be adjusted based on how sweet you like your drinks.
For a fun twist, try adding flavored sparkling water. Readers often use berry or lime flavors. Remember to enjoy and share your creations with everyone at your gathering—it’s a hit!
Let me know how it goes in the comments! 🥳🍋
