  • Jigger
  • Strainer
  • Citrus juicer
  • Margarita glass
  • Small plate for salt
  • Bar spoon
  • Ice

Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila silver/blanco preferred
  • 1 oz apple schnapps or apple liqueur
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • 1 oz lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup adjust to taste
  • ice cubes for shaking and serving
  • salt for rimming the glass
  • 1 wedge lime for garnish
  • 1 slice green apple thin, for garnish

Instructions

  • Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a chilled margarita glass, then dip into salt.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  • Add tequila, apple schnapps (or apple liqueur), triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup.
  • Shake for about 15 seconds until the shaker is very cold.
  • Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wedge and thin green apple slice. Serve immediately.

Notes

Silver (blanco) tequila keeps the flavor bright and the color vivid. If the drink tastes too tart, add a touch more simple syrup. Chill the glass first and use fresh lime juice for the best result.
