Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a chilled margarita glass, then dip into salt.
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
Add tequila, apple schnapps (or apple liqueur), triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup.
Shake for about 15 seconds until the shaker is very cold.

Notes
