Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Strainer
  • Jigger
  • Tall glass or milkshake cup
  • Spoon
  • Blender

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chocolate ice cream
  • 1/2 cup milk any kind
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate simple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup cola
  • crushed chocolate cookies for “dirt” topping
  • gummy worms or candy bones for decoration
  • ice cubes optional, for a thicker shake

Instructions

  • Scoop the chocolate ice cream into your cocktail shaker.
  • Add the milk, chocolate simple syrup, lemon juice, and lime juice.
  • Shake it up until everything's nice and smooth.
  • Pour in the cola slowly so it doesn't fizz over.
  • Hold a strainer over your glass and pour the shake through, catching any ice chunks.
  • Sprinkle crushed chocolate cookies on top to look like dirt.
  • Toss on some gummy worms or candy bones for that graveyard vibe.
  • Serve right away—spoon or straw, up to you.

Notes

Swap in vanilla ice cream for a lighter flavor. No cocktail shaker? Use a mason jar with a lid, and strain out bits. Add extra ice cream or ice cubes for a thicker shake. Use less syrup or diet cola for a less sweet drink. Chocolate wafer cookies make the best 'dirt' topping. Let everyone decorate their own for parties!
