0.25ozgrapefruit sodaoptional, for extra sweetness
grapefruit LMNT electrolytesoptional, pinch for salty touch
Tajín or coarse saltfor rimming
grapefruit wedge or lime wheelfor garnish

Instructions
Rim your glass with lime juice, then dip it in Tajín or salt.
Fill the glass about three-quarters with ice.
Combine tequila, grapefruit juice, and lime juice in a shaker.
Stir or shake gently to chill, but do not over-shake.
Pour everything into your prepared glass.
Top off with Topo Chico or another bubbly mineral water.
Stir gently with a bar spoon.
Garnish with a grapefruit wedge or lime wheel.
Notes
Use Topo Chico for the longest-lasting fizz. Fresh juice is best, but bottled can work in a pinch. Adjust tequila or water to taste. Mezcal adds a smoky twist. Electrolyte powder gives a salty edge if desired.
