Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger
  • Strainer
  • Martini glass
  • Bar spoon
  • Citrus juicer

Ingredients

  • 2 oz gin
  • 0.5 oz triple sec or Cointreau
  • 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz gingerbread syrup homemade or store-bought
  • 1 egg white
  • ice cubes
  • cinnamon stick, lemon twist, or nutmeg optional garnish

Instructions

  • Pour gin, triple sec, lemon juice, gingerbread syrup, and egg white into the cocktail shaker.
  • Dry shake (without ice) hard for 10–15 seconds to build foam.
  • Add ice and shake again until chilled.
  • Strain through a fine mesh strainer into a chilled martini glass.
  • Garnish with a cinnamon stick, lemon twist, or a light dusting of nutmeg.

Notes

Homemade gingerbread syrup (molasses, brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves) is best, but store-bought works in a pinch. Always dry shake egg white first for the best foam. Vodka can be substituted for gin if you prefer a lighter base.
