bourbon or rye whiskey

sweet vermouth

gingerbread syrup

dashes aromatic bitters
Ice
as needed

cinnamon stick

twist orange peel
for garnish

cinnamon sugar
optional, for rimming the glass
Instructions
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
Add bourbon (or rye), sweet vermouth, gingerbread syrup, and aromatic bitters.
Shake or stir for about 20 seconds until well chilled.
(Optional) Rim your martini glass or coupe with cinnamon sugar.
Strain the mixture into the chilled glass.
Garnish with a twist of orange peel and a cinnamon stick, if desired.
