  • Small skewers or cocktail picks
  • Peeler

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pear juice chilled
  • 1 cup ginger beer use spicy kind for more flavor
  • 1/2 cup pear vodka
  • 1/2 cup ginger ale for extra bubbles
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice about half a lime
  • 2-3 slices fresh ginger optional, for added heat
  • 2 tablespoons crystallized ginger chopped, for garnish
  • fresh pear slices or wedges for garnish
  • ice cubes enough to fill the serving glasses
  • lime wedges for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • Add pear juice, ginger beer, pear vodka, ginger ale, and lime juice to the pitcher.
  • Stir gently with the bar spoon to combine everything.
  • Toss in the sliced fresh ginger if you want a stronger ginger flavor.
  • Fill serving glasses with ice.
  • Pour the punch over the ice in each glass, filling most of the way.
  • Garnish with pear slices and a piece of crystallized ginger on a skewer.
  • Add a lime wedge to each glass if you like.
  • Serve right away while it’s still fizzy and cold.

Notes

Taste the punch before serving. Add more lime juice if too sweet, or more ginger ale/club soda to make it milder. For a kid-friendly version, skip the vodka and use more juice and ginger ale. Remove fresh ginger before serving for balanced flavor. Garnish with crystallized ginger and pear slices for a festive look. Keep cold with plenty of ice or mix right before serving to prevent it going flat.
